International account manager

CUSTOMIZED engineered yarns

The position

In this position, you will be responsible for achieving revenue and margin-based targets in the international market. By growing and maintaining customer relationships, you will increase market share in the Engineered product solutions sector. You will participate in selected international networks, meetings and fairs, signaling relevant developments and identifying new opportunities. You will develop marketing and sales initiative to targeted customers. By doing so, you are the first point of contact for your customers and you advise them on product applications, innovative concepts and new developments. You will maintain contacts at each level of the industry, from customers and end-users, to technical specialists, product developers and purchasers. You will identify and translate client requirements and needs to engineered product solutions. Furthermore, you will introduce new product concepts that add value to customer operations and complement current product lines. Given the international market focus, frequent and factual reporting will be required to ensure efficient communication between all stakeholders both internally and externally. You will report to, and work closely with the Sales Manager.

Profile candidate

You are an energetic, commercially driven and entrepreneurial professional with a good technical understanding and excellent commercial and interpersonal skills. This enables you to relate to a diverse, international customer base and enable you to advise on multiple organizational levels. You are focused on building and maintaining long term relationships and have good analytical skills and aptitude for problem solving. To be successful in this position you need a (technical) Bachelor’s degree. Your work experience includes technical sales in an industrial environment, knowledge and experience in sales and converting synthetic materials, yarns or ropes preferred. You are capable planning and managing your activities, along with the Sales Manager, to deliver solid commercial results. Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language are a must. Secondary language knowledge/proficiency is a plus. Willingness to travel internationally and frequently is a must.

Key responsibilities

  • Initiate contacts with new and existing clients, identify (real) needs, and offer (CEY) Customized Engineered Yarns Solutions.
  • Grow existing businesses and initiate new.
  • Identify target markets / establish and track progress toward annual revenue targets.
  • Act as Ambassador for TP Industrial Yarns. Represent professionally during client interactions, association meetings, trade shows, etc.
  • Work closely with inside sales to secure orders and provide full client support.
