Our learnings and insights from six key industry events

The recent months have been highly eventful, as we attended six key industry events. These gatherings provided an excellent platform to connect with industry colleagues, experts, and clients. They offered us valuable insights into the future of high-performance yarns and textiles. Through these interactions, we reaffirmed the critical role that advanced materials play in shaping applications across the lifting, braiding, and weaving industries—the markets we proudly serve.

Techtextil (August 20–22 – Raleigh, North Carolina)

Techtextil, one of the leading international trade fairs for technical textiles, emphasized the rapid advancements in sustainable materials and eco-friendly solutions. This event strengthened our commitment to developing products that not only deliver exceptional performance but also contribute to reducing environmental impact. There was a clear focus on the growing importance of lightweight, high-strength textiles in various industries, from automotive to aerospace, aligning perfectly with our ongoing innovations.

Eurocord (October 14–15 – Lisbon, Portugal)

Eurocord is a European association representing manufacturers and suppliers of ropes, nets, and related textile products. Its mission is to foster innovation, quality, and safety within the rope and netting industries, focusing on sectors such as fishing, agriculture, marine, industrial, and sports.

LiftEx (October 16–17 – London, UK)

LiftEx highlighted the increasing demand for custom solutions in lifting and safety applications. Clients are increasingly seeking materials tailored to meet precise operational needs while maintaining the highest levels of durability.

AWRF (October 27–30 – La Quinta, California)

The Associated Wire Rope Fabricators (AWRF) is an industry organization dedicated to serving manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers in the lifting, rigging, and load securement industries. AWRF provides its members with networking opportunities, educational resources, certifications, and tools to promote safety and innovation. Its meetings are crucial for fostering collaboration, discussing market trends, and exploring new partnerships.

Cordage Institute (October 1–2 – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

The Cordage Institute is an international trade association committed to advancing the development, testing, and promotion of cordage, rope, and related products. Established in 1920, the institute offers standards, technical guidance, and information to ensure the quality, safety, and performance of cordage products across industries such as marine, industrial, aerospace, and recreational sectors.

Key activities of the Cordage Institute:

  1. Standards Development: Crafting specifications and standards for the design, performance, and testing of cordage products.
  2. Research & Testing: Supporting scientific research and materials testing to drive innovation in cordage technology.
  3. Education & Training: Providing resources, publications, and seminars for industry professionals.
  4. Networking: Facilitating collaboration among manufacturers, suppliers, and end-users.

METSTRADE (November 19–21 – Amsterdam, Netherlands)

At METSTRADE we gained insights into the dynamic needs of the marine leisure industry and the evolving applications of high-performance yarns. The event highlighted the growing demand for durable, high-tenacity materials such as HMPE, LCP, and aramids in products like ropes, webbings, and sails, reinforcing our role as a critical partner in optimizing these solutions.

Networking with leading rope and textile manufacturers provided fresh perspectives on market trends and potential collaborations, while discussions on innovation and sustainability showcased areas where our expertise can drive product advancements.

Additionally, the global exposure at METSTRADE offered a clearer understanding of international market dynamics, helping us align our offerings with the needs of diverse partners. These learnings position us to continue adapting and innovating for niche, high-demand marine applications.
